Amy Winehouse Checks Into Rehab

This is the biggest musical cop-out since the Sex Pistols released their follow-up single "On Second Thought, We're Quite Fond Of The Queen, Actually".

As I wrote several months ago, Amy Winehouse's song "Rehab" was a case of youthful bravado winning out over common sense, and probably something she'd regret in the long run. Now that she's apparently done a 180 and checked into a rehabilitation clinic to deal with her obvious substance abuse issues, it remains to be seen whether her career will survive or she'll forever be known as that British chick with the weird hair who sang about one thing then did another.
