New Music Added: Santogold

I've had her single L.E.S. Artistes on the playlist for a while now, but I recently had a chance to absorb the whole album, and you know what, it's really, really good. Easily one of the best albums I've heard this year. So L.E.S. Artistes has been bumped up into heavy rotation, and several other tracks have been added including Starstruck, I'm A Lady, Anne, Say Aha, and her new single, Lights Out.

Some of her songs sound a lot like M.I.A., probably because the production team has some of the same people, but much of the album sounds like a modern tribute to the early 80s, evoking New Wave and Ska bands like the Specials or the Go-Go's.

Don't let the hideous album cover fool you. This is a disc worth checking out.
