Before I became obsessed with the potential of internet radio, I spent nearly a decade trying to make it as a screenwriter. I also directed a couple of short films, dabbled in writing songs, a stand-up comedy routine I never had to guts to perform, and other various forms of creative writing.
I still get the urge to write every once in a while, but I usually resist that urge because I need to stay focused on Dynamic Range Radio if I'm going to earn a decent living from the station before the money runs out in April. I'm working full-time and then some developing the station, but the urge to write becomes overwhelming once every equinox or so, and then I need to get it out of my system. That's where my other blog comes in.
The Thinking Man's Idiot is the place where I post stuff that has no business on an internet radio website. It's a peek inside my sometimes fevered mind, featuring attempts at comedy, the occasional serious post, and links to sites I found interesting.
This week, after the season 2 premiere of NBC's Heroes, I couldn't resist writing about how far the show has fallen, IMHO, since its impressive beginning. I also just added a link to the site of a friend who's recently taken up cartooning, so head on over to The Thinking Man's Idiot if you have some time to kill. It may be worth a chuckle or two.
