New Music Added: The Raconteurs' "Consolers Of The Lonely"

Jack White's "other" band is back with a brand new album, "Consoler Of The Lonely", released just yesterday, and I'm pretty impressed after the first listen.

The first Raconteurs album was a disappointment, IMHO, producing one great single "Steady As She Goes" and a lot of forgettable filler.

The new album feels much stronger to me, but there probably isn't one song that'll grab everyone's attention quite like "Steady As She Goes" did.

There's some country influences and Celtic influences, with Jack White's searing guitar never absent for too long, and I'm really enjoying the sound quality and mix.

I also got a kick out of the decidedly retro look of the new Raconteurs website, which was quite a flashback for computers users of a certain age.

You can buy the new album in high-quality mp3 form at the Raconteurs website, or if you prefer to buy from a more trusted retailer, and send me a small cut in the process, you can always pick up the new CD from one of my amazon links.
