This is a mildly annoying pet peeve that probably only matters to me, but as I've said before, beggars can't be choosers, and since Last.FM's free service is better than anything I can manage right now, I'll have to live with it.
Once again, I decided to go through the list, weed out the obvious mistakes, and type up my weekly charts instead of simply posting the automatic charts provided by Last.FM. It's probably better for SEO this way, too, so I might keep doing it this way for a while.
So, on to the charts, which show the chart position, artist/title, and number of plays for the week in brackets.
Top Tracks This Week
1 Kings Of Leon - Camaro (4)
2 The Go! Team - Doing It Right (3)
2 The Star Figher Pilot - Another Penny (3)
2 Tyler Ramsey - A Long Dream (3)
2 Caribou - Irene (3)
2 Elbow - Grounds For Divorce (3)
2 MGMT - Time To Pretend (3)
2 The Mae Shi - Run To Your Grave (3)
2 Evangelicals - Skeleton Man (3)
2 We Are Scientists - After Hours (3)
And there were another 50+ tracks tied for second place with three spins each, so I see no point in typing out the entire list. If you're dying the see the complete weekly chart, just follow this link.
Top Artists This Week
1 Steve Earle (16)
1 Beatles (16)
1 Big Country (16)
4 The White Stripes (15)
4 Kings Of Leon (15)
4 Big Sugar (15)
4 Led Zeppelin (15)
8 Bloc Party (14)
8 The Tragically Hip (14)
10 Goldfrapp (13)
10 Sons And Daughters (13)
Note for the trivia buffs: That's the first time Goldfrapp has cracked the top ten artists for any given week. That's what can happen when a band I like releases a terrific new album.
